Richmond International Raceway officials announced today the Virginia College Savings Plan has renewed its partnership with America’s Premier Short Track. The Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race kicks off the Fall NASCAR Doubleheader weekend “under the lights” on Friday night September 10. The Virginia College Savings Plan remains the Official College Savings Plan of the track and is also a presenting sponsor of the Family Sections presented by Virginia 529 College Savings Plan.
As the premier motorsports venue on the East Coast, it’s a natural fit for Richmond International Raceway to have a presence at one of the most popular regional motorsports shows in the East—the 25th Annual Len Sammons Motorsports Race Car & Trade Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA—this weekend.
Richmond International Raceway president Doug Fritz, joined by Henrico County Officials, NASCAR personality Hermie Sadler and representatives from Panasonic, officially broke ground today for the new state-of-the-art video scoring tower which will soar above the infield of America’s Premier Short Track.
On the heels of announcing the tallest scoring tower in the NASCAR industry, which supports four state-of-the-art LED video screens viewable from every seat in the grandstands, Richmond International Raceway’s tickets for the April 30-May 1 NASCAR doubleheader weekend are now available for purchase. To purchase seats, visit www.rir.com/Tickets-Events/Event-Calendar/Spring-NSCS.aspx or call 866-455-RACE (7223).
