It has only been three days since NASCAR was in Richmond, Virginia, but fans are already counting down the days until Richmond International Raceway hosts the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series races, September 6-7.
Kevin Harvick vaulted from seventh to first during a Green-White-Checkered finish to win the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway. It’s his first trip to Gatorade Victory Lane this season.
NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski battled his way to the front in the waning laps of the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway to score a trip to Gatorade Victory Lane. Keselowski’s #22 SKF/Discount Tire Ford bested Kevin Harvick’s #33 Hungry Man/Armour Chevrolet to earn his first victory and third top-10 finish of the 2013 season.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Matt Kenseth set a new track qualifying at Richmond International Raceway today with a lap of 130.334 mph. Kenseth earned his second straight pole award and the 10th of his career. He will lead the field in tomorrow night’s Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
“It just doesn’t get any better than Richmond Raceway. It’s the ultimate in short-track racing, and doesn’t get any more exciting than that. This is where my first victory came. Richmond is always going to be special for me.”
