Tickets for Richmond Raceway’s 2018 NASCAR Season “Under the Lights” On Sale December 1
Tickets for the 2018 NASCAR season “under the lights” at Richmond Raceway will be available for fans to purchase on Friday, December 1. In 2018, Richmond is NASCAR’s home for racing “under the lights” with two race weekends of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS). America’s Premier Short Track will also host its first-ever Monster Energy Series and NXS Playoff race weekend including the only Cup playoff race at night. Richmond Raceway Reimagined’s modernized infield will open for the fall race weekend to provide new exclusive experiences to fans.
Tickets for the April 20-21 Toyota spring race weekend and the September 21-22 playoff race weekend, presented by Who’s Your Driver, will be available at the Richmond Ticket Office, via phone at 866-455-7223, or online at richmondraceway.com on December 1.
“The new season is just around the corner, so we are offering our tickets at the earliest date ever to let our fans share tickets for the iconic Richmond racing experience with their friends and family for the holidays,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “In 2018, we will showcase the iconic Richmond racing experience “under the lights” for the entire season along with the only Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at night. With Richmond Raceway Reimagined’s modernized infield opening in the fall, we’ll open a new chapter in the history of the track.”
The Toyota spring weekend returns “under the lights” in 2018. The TOYOTA OWNERS 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race will take place on Saturday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. Fans will get the opportunity to start the race under the sun and end the race under the bright lights for the iconic Richmond racing experience fans remember. The ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash4Cash race will take place on Friday, April 21.
For the first time in track history, Richmond will host a playoff weekend, presented by Who’s Your Driver, on September 21-22, 2018. The Federated Auto Parts 400 race will be second race of the first round in the playoffs for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship on Saturday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. Drivers in the fall NASCAR XFINITY Series race will kick off their championship hunt in Richmond as the track will be the site for the first race of the playoffs for the series on Friday, September 21.
