Richmond Raceway to Unveil Raceway Dog at City Dogs Restaurant on Sunday, March 18
Richmond Raceway has partnered with City Dogs, a family-owned and operated RVA restaurant, to bring fans a new limited-edition menu item. The Raceway Dog will be officially unveiled at their West Main Street location on Sunday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. Fans are invited to join Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier at the event to get the first taste of the new Raceway Dog.
“We are always looking for new and creative ways to engage our fans outside of race weekends, and the partnership with City Dogs is another way to connect with them,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “Much like Richmond Raceway, City Dogs is a staple in RVA, and beloved by many. The new Raceway Dog will be a unique pairing that fans will enjoy. I look forward to enjoying a few Raceway Dogs with fans on Sunday.”
The Raceway Dog consists of a hot dog wrapped in bacon and deep-fried for an extra layer of goodness. To top it off, a layer of pineapple salsa is piled high on this new creation. For an additional cost, fans can upgrade their hot dog to a deep-fried sausage.
“Since opening our doors in June 2008, City Dogs has been dedicated to providing the Richmond region with the highest quality product,” said City Dogs owner Cliff Irby. “With five different hot dog manufacturers, local bakery fresh buns, and four different types of chili, City Dogs is the premium hot dog provider in RVA. As we celebrate our ten-year anniversary, we are proud to partner with another local icon, Richmond Raceway.”
Fans can try this new twist on an old classic at City Dogs at 1309 West Main Street in the Fan in Richmond on Sunday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. at the official unveiling party for the Raceway Dog. Richmond fans will be able to receive a discount on the new creation and will be one of the first people to try it. The Raceway Dog will be available at City Dogs beginning on Sunday through the end of May.
