What Are Ways That I Can Enhance My Race Day Experience?

When are driver appearances and autograph sessions during race weekend?

Driver appearances and autograph sessions vary from event to event. We will announce appearances or autograph sessions as they are scheduled. For the latest information on everything happening on race weekend, follow us on our social media accounts and also download our Mobile App.

How do we find the best place to sit?

We recommend visiting our 3D Seating Chart located on our Maps page.

Is smoking allowed at the track?

There is no smoking allowed in the grandstands. There are dedicated smoking areas around the track. If you are unsure where to go, please see an usher. For more detailed information on all our Grandstand Policies, please click here.

Is there free parking during race weekend?

Yes, Richmond Raceway offers free general admission parking and ADA parking in select lots on our property. For more information regarding parking, please click here

Is there a shuttle service from downtown during race weekend?

Unfortunately, there is no longer a shuttle service from downtown. However, we have over 800 acres of free parking on site along with Uber and Lyft drop-off and pick-up locations. We also have a tram service that will take fans around the property for free.

What happens if a race is delayed or rescheduled due to weather?

Any updates or changes made to the schedule will be announced by NASCAR and Richmond Raceway on all available online channels (website, social media, email, etc.). You can also receive updates by texting RRUPDATES to 69050.

Where is handicap seating and entry locations?

Handicap seating is available in the Veranda Platform, Dogwood Grandstands, Dogwood Tower, Colonial Platform, and Commonwealth Tower. All grandstand entrances have a ramp or elevator for ADA guests to access their seats. For more ADA information, please click here.

How do we request emergency assistance?

In case of an emergency, call the following phone numbers on race weekends: 
  • 804-228-7576 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 
  • 804-370-3022 from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. 
Fans can also text 69050 for emergency support. In the body of the text message, type RRFAN and a space. After the space, type your need, emergency and/or issue and location.

Can we bring a cooler into the track?

Yes, coolers are allowed in the grandstands. They must be no larger than 14”x14”x14” and have to be soft-sided. No glass containers are permitted inside the grandstands. For more information on our Grandstand Policies, please click here.

Can I take a tour of the track?

Yes, tours are available during regular business hours excluding holidays. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tours are free, however, we do accept donations to our charity Richmond Raceway Cares. Due to increased track activity, tours are not available during race weekends.

Is there special pricing for military members, groups, or kids?

We offer special pricing for military members for our NASCAR XFINITY Series races and a military appreciation package for our Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. For more information, please click here.

Richmond offers special kids pricing for our NASCAR XFINITY Series races and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. Kids 12 & younger are FREE in general admission seating areas to NASCAR XFINITY Series races with a ticketed adult and are $25 OFF in every grandstand section for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. When does food in the midway close?

Food and partner displays begin breaking down at the start of the day’s race. We recommend arriving to the track early, so you can partake in all our Midway has to offer.
