NASCAR Nationwide Series Testing New Cars on Thursday; Driver Autograph Session to Follow

Race fans at Richmond International Raceway will be treated to an extra day of on-track activity to kick off the Post-9/11 GI Bill NASCAR Weekend at Richmond on Thursday, when the NASCAR Nationwide Series conducts a day-long test session of the new Nationwide Series car. Following the test, NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers will participate in an autograph session in the Amphitheater at Richmond International Raceway.

Track Hosting Fourth Annual Blood Drive Thursday, September 9

Richmond International Raceway will host its annual Drive for Life, a Virginia Blood Services blood drive, on Thursday, September 9, from noon to 5 p.m. in the historic Old Dominion Building. Participants should enter the property at Gate 4, off of Laburnum Avenue. Richmond International Raceway’s Drive for Life is a partnership between the track and Virginia Blood Services. Donors may register in advance by logging on to www.vablood.org.
