Richmond International Raceway Ticket Purchasing on Mobile Devices Now Even Easier

Richmond International Raceway, in conjunction with Moovweb, has launched a new, mobile-friendly fan experience that now makes it even easier for race fans to purchase tickets to events directly from their smartphones. The new mobile ticketing site launched on April 10, and gives fans the ability to easily purchase event tickets, pit passes, access to fan zones and much more. To experience the new mobile sites, fans can go to www.rir.com on a mobile device and select the “Tickets” link next to an event.

Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown, Benefiting Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Returns to RIR, April 25

For the third year in a row, the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown is set to open the Spring race weekend at Richmond International Raceway. The race, which typically features a dozen NASCAR drivers and celebrities battling on the ¾-mile track with some of the best local Late Model Stock Car drivers, will serve as a fundraiser for the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Last year, BUBBA burger® and Richmond International Raceway launched the “Signature BUBBA burger® Contest,” which featured NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers submitting their burger creations. 2011 Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne was crowned BUBBA burger® champion after judges tasted his scrumptious “Big Cheese,” featuring three cheeses and crispy bacon. This year, fans are invited to submit their creations for a chance to win some great prizes, including race tickets, pre-race ceremony access and lots of BUBBA burgers®.
