Winding "Road to Richmond" Continues Through Windy City Saturday

With another race “under the lights” on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule this Saturday, it brings to mind the short-track night racing fans will see at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 11 for “One Last Race to Make The Chase”—the final race of the 10-event “Race to The Chase.” But first things first. This weekend the series visits Chicagoland Speedway for the third of the 10 events, and there is plenty to talk about in the point standings.

Track Hosting Fourth Annual Blood Drive Thursday, September 9

Richmond International Raceway will host its annual Drive for Life, a Virginia Blood Services blood drive, on Thursday, September 9, from noon to 5 p.m. in the historic Old Dominion Building. Participants should enter the property at Gate 4, off of Laburnum Avenue. Richmond International Raceway’s Drive for Life is a partnership between the track and Virginia Blood Services. Donors may register in advance by logging on to www.vablood.org.
