Winner to Be Announced Tuesday

Richmond, VA (November 16, 2009)—Richmond International Raceway has selected two finalists for the RIR.com Insider – Vegas Style contest and the grand prize winner will be announced tomorrow.  Of the submissions entered through www.rir.com , the top two videos received came from Michael Hedrick of Lake Ridge, Virginia and Mallory Bracken of Richmond, Virginia. Both videos can be seen by visiting http://www.rir.com/Articles/2009/11/RIRcom-Insider-Vegas-Style.aspx .

The ultimate prize package for two includes: tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony on December 4, roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas, accommodations at the Wynn and $500 spending cash.

Fans were asked to submit a short video to show why they should be the RIR.com Insider reporter, what their most memorable moment is from their trips to Richmond International Raceway and to exemplify an outgoing personality, suitable for on-camera performance.

As the winner of the contest, either Hedrick or Bracken will chronicle their trip to and from Las Vegas through video, gathering exclusive RIR.com Insider footage from their adventures up and down The Strip, the many fan-focused events put on by NASCAR and their unforgettable experience at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony.

Hedrick’s video includes photos of his trips to Richmond International Raceway and several interviews with guests.  His most memorable experience from America’s Premier Short Track is attending his first-ever NASCAR race and watching fellow Virginian Denny Hamlin.

Bracken did a stand-up interview outside of Richmond International Raceway and included shots of her ticket stubs.  Her most memorable moment at America’s Premier Short Track was making her way to the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on September 7, 2008, which was won by her favorite driver—Carl Edwards. Further, she claims, “What happens in Vegas, comes home with Mallory and is shared with Richmond.”
