Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation Presented by Dominion Energy

Richmond Raceway & Dominion Energy Continue Partnership to Show Appreciation for Military

Richmond Raceway and Dominion Energy are once again joining forces to thank past and present military members through the track’s Military Appreciation Program. Dominion Energy returns as the naming rights sponsor of the program and hospitality area during the NASCAR Playoff Race Weekend on Sept. 20-21. The official names are Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation presented by Dominion Energy and Richmond Raceway Military Hospitality presented by Dominion Energy.

“Richmond Raceway is proud to continue our partnership with Dominion Energy to honor our nation’s military as part of the NASCAR Playoffs,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “Dominion Energy is an outstanding supporter of veterans and active duty military in the greater Richmond area and throughout the Commonwealth. It’s a privilege to partner with an organization that values the military like Richmond Raceway does, so we look forward to working with Dominion Energy to continue to share our gratitude with service members this fall.”

Dominion Energy has a lengthy history of supporting the greater Richmond region’s military members. The organization has made providing support to the military, veterans, and their families a priority, dating back to World War I. At Dominion Energy, one in five new hires is a military veteran. Recently, G.I. Jobs ranked Dominion Energy No. 5 in its 2019 list of the top military-friendly companies nationwide. The company also connects veterans with careers in the energy industry through their Troops to Energy Jobs program.

“For decades, Dominion Energy has supported our nation’s active duty military, reservists and veterans,” said Bill Murray, senior vice president – Corporate Affairs and Communications at Dominion Energy. “It is an honor to host our veterans in partnership with Richmond Raceway and to show our appreciation of their sacrifices on behalf of our nation.”

Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation presented by Dominion Energy is one of the most popular ticket offers at America’s Premier Short Track. For the Federated Auto Parts 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race, past and present service members receive a discounted price on FanGrounds passes with the purchase of a race ticket. The first 1,500 military ticketholders also receive complimentary access to the Richmond Raceway Military Hospitality presented by Dominion Energy area located in the Old Dominion Building. The hospitality area includes bowling on the lanes from the PWBA Tour Championship, along with food, beverages, entertainment, and appearances by NASCAR celebrities.

Past and present service men and women are also eligible to receive discounted tickets for NASCAR Xfinity Series races. For more information on the Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation presented by Dominion Energy, visit richmondraceway.com/military.
