Richmond International Raceway Teams Up With Henrico County Police Athletic League for NASCAR Day 2010

Richmond International Raceway teams up with the Henrico County Police Athletic League (PAL) to sell NASCAR Day pins for the seventh annual NASCAR Day on May 21. Pins are now available for purchase at Richmond International Raceway’s ticket office, located at 600 E. Laburnum Ave. Additionally, pins will be sold on the midway during the upcoming NASCAR doubleheader weekend at America’s Premier Short Track, April 30-May 1. Half of the proceeds generated from pin sales at the track will benefit Henrico County PAL, with the other half benefiting The NASCAR Foundation.

Charities Clean Up at Richmond International Raceway's NASCAR Foundation Car Wash for Kids

Nearly 200 fans came out to Richmond International Raceway yesterday for the track’s first NASCAR Foundation Car Wash for Kids. For a $15 donation, guests received a car wash, two paced laps around the track in their vehicle and a NASCAR Unites wristband.

RIR Cares’ Day of Giving Awards Deserving Organizations with Grants

Richmond International Raceway’s (RIR) charitable arm RIR Cares presented its annual Day of Giving today. Eight grants totaling $35,000 were awarded to deserving organizations in the Richmond community. This year’s eight grants were the most awarded in the track’s history. RIR Cares is a donor advised fund of The NASCAR Foundation.

RIR Cares Launching Interactive Exhibit at Children's Museum of Richmond

Richmond International Raceway, through RIR Cares, its donor-advised fund at The NASCAR Foundation, has partnered with the Children’s Museum of Richmond on a new interactive display that will teach kids and adults all about the country’s most popular racing series. The four-piece display launches this Thursday, February 7, at the Chesterfield CMoR location (6629 Lake Harbour Dr., Midlothian, VA 23112, in the Winterpock Shopping Center).

I don’t care what else I had planned; I’ll make sure I can go, no matter what!” Weeks was randomly selected as the winner of Richmond International Raceway’s “Your Seat in Vegas Is Waiting” contest.
