Event will be held at The Great American Ranch in Mechanicsville, VA
RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 12, 2024) — Richmond Raceway announced today that it will be hosting a watch party for the 66th running of The Great American Race at The Great American Ranch at 7514 Lee-Davis Road, Mechanicsville, VA on Sunday, Feb. 18.
“We are thrilled to kick off the start of the 2024 season with our DAYTONA 500 watch party at The Great American Ranch,” said Richmond Raceway President Lori Collier Waran. “This is one of the most iconic events in all of sports. We want to make certain everyone in the Richmond region can join us for a fun and festive celebration.”
The party begins at 1:30 p.m. until the checkered flag drops on the inaugural regular season race of the 2024 season. It is FREE to attend with themed food and beverage specials available for purchase. Fans will have the chance to see the Richmond Raceway pace car and win prizes that include tickets to the upcoming Toyota Owners 400, ticket upgrades, and more. The first 50 fans in attendance will also receive a special gift courtesy of Richmond Raceway.

Richmond Raceway and NASCAR announced last year that both of its 2024 NASCAR Cup Series races will finish beneath the stars. The Toyota Owners 400 will be contested at 7 p.m. on Easter Sunday, March 31, continuing NASCAR‘s three-year effort of taking ownership of the Easter holiday and garnering new interest with a coveted primetime slot. The race will be broadcast live on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
And then at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, the Cook Out 400 returns to Richmond‘s 0.75-mile oval live on USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Richmond Raceway‘s Easter weekend will also include the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour‘s Virginia is for Racing Lovers 150 on Friday, March 29, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series‘ ToyotaCare 250 on Saturday, March 30. The summer race weekend will additionally feature the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series regular-season finale on Saturday, Aug. 10.
