FAN GUIDE
GEICO CAMPGROUNDS REGULATIONS:
If you plan to park overnight on Richmond Raceway property, you must obey the following regulations:
• Quiet hours begin at 1:00 a.m. and last until 7:00 am. During this time, loud music, large gatherings, and unruly behavior is not allowed. All internal/external sound systems must face inward towards camping sites, and not exceed a volume that is imposing on neighboring campsites. Additionally, guests are urged to return to their sites, and generators must be turned off. Any vehicle causing a disturbance to neighboring sites may be relocated or removed from the property.
• Please be considerate of your neighbors and behave responsibly.
• Do not park in other sites or block access to other sites, roadways, fire lanes, or dump stations. All vehicles MUST fit within the camping site.
• Tent camping is not permitted in any of the RV parking lots.
• Tailgating/canopy tents must be staked/secured at all times. Failure to stake/secure properly will result in the removal of the tent. Tents over 200 square feet and canopies over 400 square feet need advanced approval by Richmond Raceway and must be inspected by the Henrico County Fire Department prior to utilization.
• Weapons of any type are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated. Those items include, but are not limited to firearms, fireworks (including flying lanterns), sporting knives, spotlights, laser pointers or any other items restricted by local, state or federal law deemed dangerous by Richmond Raceway are prohibited. Possession may result in your removal from Richmond property.
• Please put all trash in plastic bags, tie them, and place them in the trash cans provided throughout the parking lot.
• All pets must be kept on a leash. You must clean up after your pets.
• NON-LICENSED MOTORIZED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED. THIS INCLUDES GOLF CARTS, SCOOTERS, ATVS, UTVS, HOVERBOARDS/SKATEBOARDS, RIDING COOLERS, SEGWAYS, E-BIKES (ELECTRIC BICYCLES), RIDING BAR STOOLS, DUNE BUGGIES, AND RAZORS. A vehicle that is street-legal or licensed to operate on the roadway does not mean it is allowed on raceway property. Richmond Raceway will review vehicles on a case-by-case basis and reserves the right to deem them unauthorized. Guests with special needs may receive assistance from Guest Services.
• Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) also known as drones are strictly prohibited on Richmond Raceway Property. Anyone using a UAV or property is subject to removal and the confiscation of the UAV until the completion of the event.
• Proper ventilation is required in all vehicles. All exhausts MUST be directed up and away from each vehicle. Use caution when operating generators, charcoal or gas stoves, heaters, and lights.
• No corporate-branded vehicles or wrapped RVs will be allowed in the parking lot.
• A personal, portable restroom may be rented in Lot F and Laburnum SOUTH, provided it is placed on the edge of your site towards the road and locked when not in use. NOTE: Due to size and hygienic constraints, personal portable restrooms are not permitted in GEICO Main and Laburnum NORTH RV parking lots. A bathhouse is located just outside the Main Reserved RV Parking Lot as you enter the midway from Lot B.
• Enclosed shipping trailers are prohibited in any RV parking lots. This includes but is not limited to, box trucks, flatbeds, soft-sided trailers, etc.
• Dumping of waste or wastewater on the ground will result in immediate ejection from speedway property and offenders are subject to arrest and/or monetary fine.
VIOLATION OF THESE REGULATIONS, MAJOR DISTURBANCES, OR UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES IN THE PARKING AREA CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS OF SITE AND PARKING PRIVILEGES.
FLAGPOLE POLICY:
For your own safety and that of other fans around you, metal flagpoles are not to be erected on Raceway property.
• Only non-metallic flagpoles are permitted, fiberglass, PVC, and vinyl.
• Not Permitted: steel, aluminum, other metal.
• The top of a flagpole may not exceed a maximum height of 15 ft. from the ground surface.
• Flagpoles or other similar objects are NOT permitted within 20 ft. of an overhead electrical line.
• No obscene or indecent language and imagery, including confederate flags are permitted.
RICHMOND RACEWAY AND THE HENRICO FIRE DEPARTMENT RESERVE THE AUTHORITY TO SUSPEND THE USE OF FLAG POLES DUE TO UNSAFE WEATHER OR FOR ANY OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS THAT MAY ARISE.
OUTDOOR FIREPLACE REGULATIONS:
• Open fires are not permitted at any time in the GEICO Main and Laburnum Reserved RV Parking lots. This includes, but is not limited to: campfires, portable outdoor fireplaces, sky lanterns, bonfires, and fireworks. Propane and charcoal grills are allowed for cooking purposes only and must be contained within your site. Charcoal must be disposed of properly.
• Portable outdoor fireplaces are allowed in the GEICO Specialty Vehicle Reserved RV Parking in Lot F. Fires must be in approved outdoor fireplaces constructed of steel, clay, concrete, or other non-combustible materials. Fires may not be built directly on the ground. Outdoor fireplaces may not exceed a diameter of 36” and are limited to a height of 24”. Fires must be more than 15 feet from vehicles, campers, or other combustibles. Please see further guidelines below.
• Firewood shall not be cut or removed from Richmond Raceway property.
• Sufficient water must be supplied to extinguish fires as needed.
• Burning trash or other rubbish is prohibited. Flammable liquids shall not be used to start or contribute to a fire.
• Hot coals/embers shall not be discarded on the ground or left unattended. Charcoal must be disposed of properly. Each site must be free of debris, including ash and firewood, upon departure from the lot.
• Any unattended fire will be extinguished, and the right to have a fire will be revoked for that camper. RV Parking lots will be inspected several times during the day and night for compliance with the rules and regulations.
RICHMOND RACEWAY AND THE HENRICO FIRE DEPARTMENT RESERVE THE AUTHORITY TO SUSPEND OUTDOOR FIRES DUE TO UNSAFE WEATHER OR FOR ANY OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS THAT MAY ARISE.

We care about making sure all of our guests who visit Richmond Raceway have their needs met. We've listed some helpful information and tips for our ADA guests in hopes it will assist you when you visit us. Accessible Seating options for the our NASCAR events are available on platforms within the Veranda, Dogwood and Colonial platforms, as well as in the Dogwood and Commonwealth Towers. All Accessible seating includes a space along with the option to purchase additional companion seating.
Located on the east side of the of the Commonwealth Grandstand, escalators are available to transport all ticket holders in the Commonwealth Mezzanine and Commonwealth Tower from the ground to the Commonwealth Mezzanine and the first row of the Commonwealth Tower. Use the elevator at Level 4 to access to the top rows of Commonwealth Tower.
For quick entry into the lot, please hang your handicapped parking permit on your rearview mirror before you arrive at Richmond Raceway.
- Please clearly display your handicapped parking permit.
- Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at Gates 2, 4, 6, and the Service Gate.

GATE 2
Laburnum Avenue West via 360: turn right into Gate 2.
Laburnum Avenue East: turn left into Gate 2.
GATE 6
From 295: Meadowbridge Road, turn left on Carolina Avenue, turn right into Gate 6.
From Laburnum Avenue via 360: turn right on Carolina Avenue, turn left into Gate 6.
SERVICE GATE
Laburnum Avenue West via 360: turn right onto Richmond-Henrico Tpk then right into the Service Gate.
Laburnum Avenue East: turn left onto Richmond-Henrico Tpk then right into the Service Gate.
From 295: Meadowbridge Road/Richmond-Henrico Tpk, turn left into the Service Gate.
Richmond Raceway has a fleet of handicap assistance carts to help our disabled guests who require assistance with transportation within the immediate raceway property. While these carts do not pick up at specific camp sites or parking spaces, we will pick up and drop off from Guest Services tent locations as shown on the site map. These sites are located along the transportation route. Please note these carts can assist a disabled guest and one companion.
Pre-Race
Handicap assistance carts transport to and from guest service tent locations which are located on the defined transportation route. Exit the cart closest to your destination along this route.
Post-Race
Handicap assistance carts transport from the following designated locations beginning 30 minutes post-race:
- Virginia is for Lovers Frontstretch Gate
- Gate 40-Turn 1
- Gate 70-Turn 4
The post race drop off points will be to the outer edges of the parking lots. Carts cannot go into the parking lots or campgrounds during post-race, due to vehicle traffic.

• The handicap assistance carts provided by Richmond Raceway are for disabled ticketholders. Please respect this policy.
• Please be advised that delays may occur during peak volume times immediatelybefore and after the race. Transports will occur in the order of the guest’s arrival, and all guests should note that the carts are busiest two to three hours before the race. During this window, wait times can approach an hour in length, so please plan accordingly.
- Guests CANNOT use a handicapped parking permit unless the person to whom it is issued is the driver of or passenger in your vehicle.
- A valid photo ID will be required for entry into the ADA lots.
- The permit must be hung on the rearview mirror when the vehicle is parked in the disabled parking area.
- Both sides of the parking permit must display valid decals (month/year and driver’s license number).
- Parking permit number must be displayed toward the front of the windshield.
- Handicapped license plates accompanied with a photo ID may be used in lieu of a parking permit.
- According to Virginia law, unlawful use of a parking permit is a Class Two misdemeanor.
- Refusal to cooperate with law enforcement officers implementing this program can result in removal from the property.
Please note that law enforcement officers will be verifying that the person to whom the permit is issued is either the driver of or a passenger in the vehicle.
Restrooms equipped for handicapped access are located throughout the grandstands and facility grounds. Family unisex restrooms are located in the Dogwood Tower, Veranda Grandstands, and the Commonwealth Tower and Mezzanine.
Guests may bring their own wheelchairs for personal use while visiting Richmond Raceway. Richmond also allows Personal Electric Transport devices that are commercially built for handicapped individual use only.

- Backpacks, diaper bags, clutch bags and fanny packs are permitted as long as they do not exceed a maximum size of 18”x18”x14”

- A combination of any of the above mentioned items will be allowed with the exception of the soft sided coolers which will be limited to one cooler per guest
- Sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer and bug spray (aerosol, gel or liquid forms)
- Pre-packaged and sealed food and beverage items in clear bag or soft-sided cooler, to include alcoholic beverages (no glass containers)
- Ice
- Insulated cups - maximum size of 64 oz.
- Cameras, binoculars, scanners and headsets that can be worn over the neck, belt, or carried in a clear bag
- iPads, tablets and laptops computers
- Seat cushions without metal components
- Cigarettes and lighters
- Service animals
- Nationality flags attached to a pencil-sized wooden stick. Flags may not obstruct any other fan's view of event
These items are all permitted through gate entry.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones
- Foam or hard-sized coolers regardless of size
- Any firearm
- Knives not longer than 3 inches in length when closed or longer than 6 inches in length when open
- Utility tools (multi-purpose tool) with a knife blade longer than 3 inches
- Displays of the confederate flag
- Fireworks
- Glass or ceramic containers of any kind
- Dry ice
- Umbrellas
- Laser pointers
- Noise makers and air horns
- Aerosol cans (with the exception of sunscreen, sun block, hand sanitizer, and bug spray)
- Selfie sticks
- Tripods and monopods that are either solid or collapsible
- Illegal substances of any kind
- Seat cushions with metal components
- Collapsible chairs
- Wagons
- Frisbees, balloons, beach balls or any other projectile
- No EV’s (Electric Bicycles), skateboards, hover boards, roller skates and bicycles
- Obscene or indecent clothing

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. Payment by check, money order, traveler's checks, and cash are also accepted. Personal checks are not accepted race week.
Can I purchase Enhanced Refund Coverage?
The NASCAR’s Ticket Refund Coverage is available during the purchase process for customers when ordering their tickets. This refund coverage is NASCAR’S promise to their fans to protect their purchase with an Enhanced Refund Protection Purchase!
I MOVED! HOW CAN I CHANGE MY TICKET ADDRESS?

WHEN DOES THE FAN ZONE CLOSE?
Food and partner displays in the Fan Zone begin breaking down at the start of the race. We recommend arriving to the track early, so you can partake in all our Fan Zone has to offer.
CAN WE BRING A COOLER INTO THE TRACK?
Yes, coolers are allowed in the grandstands. They must be no larger than 14”x14”x14” and have to be soft-sided. No glass containers are permitted inside the grandstands.
IS SMOKING ALLOWED AT THE TRACK?
There is no smoking allowed in the grandstands. There are dedicated smoking areas around the track. If you are unsure where to go, please see an usher.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER?
NASCAR and Richmond Raceway officials will exhaust all efforts to ensure scheduled events take place on the originally scheduled day. In the event of inclement weather that causes a race to be postponed to a later date, the Weather Protection Program offers fans the opportunity to exchange their unused Grandstand tickets from the postponed race for any race of the same type at a company property in the next year. WHERE IS YOUR LOST & FOUND LOCATED?
Lost & Found is located in the Richmond Ticket Office, located at 600 E. Laburnum Ave. Guests may stop by during normal office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) or call 804-228-7500. Misplaced items may be discarded after 60 days.
WHAT ARE THE TICKET OFFICE HOURS?
Ticket agents are available via phone from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sundays, agents are available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call 866-455-RACE (7223). The Richmond Box Office is opened from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
WHAT ARE THE ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS?
We are cashless for our NASCAR event weekend. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards.

CAN I TAKE A TOUR OF THE TRACK?

Passes to the Infield FanGrounds are available for all fans who have a race ticket to purchase.
You can choose from single-day or weekend passes. Fans with tickets to just Saturday or Sunday are able to purchase single-day passes for the day on which their race ticket is valid. Fans who have tickets to the entire weekend can purchase Infield FanGrounds passes to Saturday and/or Sunday.

Check out the Race Weekend Schedule for Infield FanGrounds opening and closing times each day. The schedule will be posted a few weeks prior to race weekend.
Fans with a Infield FanGrounds pass must access the infield via the Eternal Fan Pedestrian Tunnel. The tunnel is conveniently located within grandstand Gate 40 in Turn 1.
Yes, fans may leave the Infield FanGrounds and return whenever they would like. The Infield FanGrounds stays open 1-hour post-race.
Yes! Fans are allowed to stay in the Infield FanGrounds during the race. All Infield FanGrounds pass holders must have a race ticket for that day's event.
If fans wish to go back and forth between the grandstands and the Infield FanGrounds, they are permitted to do so as long as they have a Infield FanGrounds pass and race ticket.
