Donations to be accepted during event to aid in Hurricane Relief
RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 10, 2024) – Richmond Raceway will host Track Laps for Charity on Wednesday, October 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Track Laps for Charity provide fans the opportunity to drive on Richmond Raceway for five laps with a donation of $20. All proceeds will benefit Richmond Raceway Cares, a donor advised fund of The NASCAR Foundation, and the Autism Society of Central Virginia.
Additionally, Richmond Raceway will be accepting donations of bottled water and diapers (child and adult) to aid in hurricane relief efforts during the run of the Track Laps for Charity event. Track Laps participants and those dropping off donations for hurricane relief will enter the property at the main gate at 600 E. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA, 23222.

The Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV) is a local nonprofit, with a mission to support, empower, and build connections to improve the lives of all in our local autism community. The ASCV serves 10,000+ community members a year, hosting 400+ social, recreational & support programs and offering resources and support to individuals with autism throughout Central Virginia. To participate in Track Laps for Charity, fans must abide by the following rules and restrictions.
- All drivers must be 18 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Driver and passengers will both sign waivers as they are submitted to Track Personnel. Signatures must be witnessed by Track Personnel.
- All participants must adhere to Virginia state laws regarding the usage of seat belts and child safety restraints.
- Passenger vehicles only; motorcycles are not permitted.
- Maximum speed is 55 miles per hour and regulated by Richmond Raceway personnel.
- Passing other vehicles on the track is not permitted. Violators will be removed from track.
- Drivers must stay up to speed and refrain from lagging behind in order to speed up. Violators will be removed from track.
- Track Laps for Charity may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather or safety conditions. If a cancellation is necessary, Richmond Raceway will make its best effort to contact guests in advance of their visit.
