RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 20, 2025) – Richmond Raceway will once again host a double-header NASCAR race weekend in 2026, featuring the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series as well as another thrilling Saturday night NASCAR Cup Series race under the lights in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The NASCAR race weekend at Richmond Raceway will take place on Aug. 14-15, 2026.
“We truly couldn’t think of a better way to cap off such an incredible weekend here at Richmond Raceway than by announcing our return for next season,” said Lori Waran, President of Richmond Raceway. “The fans proved that there’s nothing like Saturday night racing in Richmond and all of us, from our track staff to our community members, have our foot on the gas, ready to go for next August.”
Below are the dates for the 2026 races at Richmond Raceway:
- Friday, Aug. 14 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Race
- Saturday, Aug. 15 – NASCAR Cup Series Race
The Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway this past weekend saw Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon get redemption after last year’s race, and once again secure the victory on Saturday night, racing his way into the Cup Series Playoffs. Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron also secured a victory of his own in Richmond, clinching the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series regular season championship in front of a sold-out crowd.
