Richmond Raceway will host a Track Laps for Charity presented by The Jenny Maraghy Team with Joyner Fine Properties and Midas of Richmond on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Track Laps for Charity offers fans the opportunity to drive their personal vehicles around America‘s Premier Short Track for a donation of $20. All proceeds will benefit the Children‘s Hospital Foundation and Richmond Raceway Cares.
“For our final Track Laps for Charity of the year, we are partnering with The Jenny Maraghy Team and Midas of Richmond to support two great causes in the Children‘s Hospital Foundation and Richmond Raceway Cares,” said Dennis Bickmeier, Richmond Raceway President. “Track Laps for Charity is a unique community event that showcases the on-track experience at America‘s Premier Short Track while benefiting worthy causes in our community.”
This is the fourth Track Laps for Charity event of the year as Richmond Raceway continues to partner with organizations making a difference in communities. The first three Track Laps for Charity benefited the Henrico Firefighter Foundation in March, American Cancer Society of Virginia in June and USO Hampton Roads & Central Virginia in September.
The Children‘s Hospital Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 that works to maximize philanthropic impact in children‘s health at Children‘s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, driving excellence in patient care, education and research. The foundation is dedicated to raising and stewarding philanthropic resources that will enable Children‘s Hospital of Richmond to become a top, nationally-ranked children‘s hospital. With roots going back 100 years to the incorporation of children hospital on Brook Road in 1920, the Children‘s Hospital Foundation is proud to work with generous members of our community who believe there is no greater cause than providing for health care needs of children. “We‘re so pleased to partner with The Jenny Maraghy Team, Midas of Richmond and Richmond Raceway Cares in pursuit of our ultimate goal: the best possible chance at a healthy future for all kids,” said Lauren Moore, president and CEO of Children‘s Hospital Foundation. “As we work together to build a new freestanding children‘s hospital to meet the unique needs of children, we recognize that none of this would be possible without the support of our community.”
“We are thrilled to once again join with Richmond Raceway, and new partner this year, Mark Smith of Midas of Richmond, to bring to Richmond such a unique event: Track Laps for Charity,” Jenny Maraghy, CEO of The Jenny Maraghy Team. “For a small donation, participants are allowed to drive their vehicles around the famous Richmond racetrack. In the past the drivers have brought not only sportscars, but vintage cars, trucks and even a few tow trucks! Join us for great fun while we raise funds for the outstanding Children’s Hospital Foundation.”
